Some Questions Regarding Alliances - Guild Wars Forums

Hi all, I am a guild leader of my guild,
as i was experimenting with fuctions of a guild, I paid 500g to become a alliance leader.
Basically I need some clarification as to by being a Alliance Leader, can i join other guild's alliance.

If its not possible, how do i like undo being a Alliance Leader?

The following is from the Official Wiki.

"Forming an alliance

New alliances may only be formed by a guild leader who has access to the Guild Wars Factions campaign and has pledged his allegiance to either the Luxon or the Kurzick factions. To form an alliance under one of these two factions, the guild leader must travel to the corresponding main city of either faction, (House zu Heltzer for Kurzick, Cavalon for Luxon.) A fee of 500 Gold has to be paid to the representing ambassador. Alliances can only be formed as Luxon or Kurzick alliances.

Once done, the guild will become the lead guild of the alliance, and the guild leader of that guild will become the leader of the alliance.

Joining an existing alliance

To join an alliance, an invitation must be sent by the leader of the alliance. All invitations cost 1 Platinum, and up to ten guilds in total (including the lead guild) may form together as an alliance."

It's not necessary to become Ally leader just to join an alliance. However, to be the guild that invites other guilds into the Alliance it is needed. I'm not sure how you'd go about "undoing" Ally leader status but it may be done by being invited by another Alliance.

Any guild that has talked to the Ambassador in Cavalon/HzH will be the alliance leader, but the alliance will only have 1 guild in it. To add more guilds, you must invite other guilds to your alliance. So until you have invited another guild to join your alliance, you aren't really an alliance leader, just a guild leader who has declared allegience to the Luxons/Kurzicks. If you find an alliance or guild you want to join with, they can invite you as long as they are the same as you (Luxon/Kurzick).
